Birds, Bees, Butterflies and Hummingbirds, Attracting

Creating a pollinator-friendly garden can be accomplished on multiple sizes and scales; from the small planter that provides pollen and nectar to the meadows that furnish shelter, food and water. Rural areas and neighborhoods can form communities of habitat for beneficial insects and pollinators.

It is important not to use toxic chemicals that disrupt the natural ecosystem and instead use organic products that will not kill beneficial garden inhabitants. For a complete pollinator-friendly garden, provide shelter from the elements and a water source. Consider all seasons when planting and ensure you have plants that produce food when other plants are dormant.
